Your family’s freedom should not depend on one passport
Most families never plan for what one passport cannot do. A visa refusal can cancel a trip or a deal. A shock at home can leave your family with nowhere to go. Moving money, schooling children and doing business across borders gets harder each year.
Citizenship by investment is a legal route to a second passport. You make an approved contribution or buy approved real estate, and the country screens you and your family before it grants citizenship.
How it feels to wait
You feel powerless when a visa decision sits in someone else’s hands. You feel uneasy when the news at home turns worse. You worry that you are leaving your children with fewer options than you had.
What a second passport gives you
- Visa-free access to well over 140 destinations, so a refusal no longer cancels a trip or a deal, and you travel with confidence
- A second home base, so a crisis at home does not strand your family, and you sleep easier
- One application for the whole family, so your spouse, children and often parents are covered, and nobody is left behind
- No need to move, so you keep your job, business and schools
- Months, not years, so your plan B is ready before you need it
- Dual citizenship where allowed, so you add a passport instead of swapping one
You do not have to work this out alone
We know how heavy this decision feels. You are weighing your family’s future, a large investment and programs that all look alike. You want an honest guide, not a salesperson.
What we have done
- 35+ years in immigration and investment migration
- 25,000+ families guided since 1991
- Three offices: Toronto, Dubai and Karachi
- Authorized agents only: we file through officially authorized agents for each program
- 2026 Canadian Choice Award winner
What we believe
- Honesty first: we tell you when a program does not fit, before you pay
- Clean files: every dollar documented, and no shortcuts
- Your plan, not a template: the right program depends on your goals and passport
We believe a second passport should give your family choices, and it should not cost you peace of mind.
Is citizenship by investment right for you?
An honest answer before you commit funds.
A good fit if you have
- Funds you can document and trace to a legal source
- A clean criminal record and a nationality the program accepts
- A clear reason: travel, business, family security or a plan B
- A budget from about US$200,000, plus government and due diligence fees
- Patience for due diligence that can take several months
Consider another route if
- You cannot document where your money came from
- Your nationality or history appears on a program’s restricted list
- You need a passport in a few weeks
- You expect a second passport to change where you owe tax

Citizenship by investment requirements
Every program checks you and your family in depth. Here is what governments look at.
Due diligence
Every applicant over 18 passes background checks, police certificates and screening against international databases. A criminal record or a sanctions link usually ends the application.
Source of funds
You prove where your money came from with bank records, tax filings, business accounts or sale contracts. A clean paper trail is the biggest time saver.
Health and identity
Each applicant needs certified identity documents and a medical exam. Some programs also require biometrics.
Family
You can usually include a spouse, dependent children and, in most programs, dependent parents. Age limits and extra fees apply by country.
Nationality rules
Each country bans certain nationalities. We check your passport against every program’s list before you pay anything.

The seven citizenship by investment programs
Antigua and Barbuda
One contribution from about US$230,000 covers a family of up to four, and relatives such as parents can join, so the whole family gets a plan B.
Dominica
The lowest Caribbean entry point, from about US$200,000, so your budget goes further. A program open since 1993 gives you a long track record.
Grenada
From about US$235,000 for a family, with eligibility for the US E-2 investor visa, so you keep a door open to American business.
St Kitts and Nevis
The world’s oldest program, from about US$250,000, so you choose a strong passport reputation and a proven process.
St Lucia
Fund, real estate or bond routes from about US$240,000, so you choose how your capital works for you.
Turkey
A real estate route from US$400,000, held three years, so you own a real asset and gain a foothold between Europe and Asia.
Nauru
The lowest-cost program, with no minimum stay, so you add a low-cost plan B. Its passport opens fewer doors, so we compare access first.

What it costs, and what waiting costs
A second passport is a real investment, so we show every line up front. Set it against the price of staying with one passport: a missed deal, a cancelled move or a family with no plan B.
Two possible futures
One year from now, you may be exactly where you are today: one passport, one set of options and the same worry when the news turns bad. Every month of waiting leaves you exposed to rule changes that add cost or steps.
Or your family holds a second citizenship, your documents are in order and your plan B is ready. You travel with confidence, and you feel relieved.
The cost of staying put
Fees, visit requirements and due diligence rules across the Caribbean programs are shifting, and a regional regulator, ECCIRA, is standardizing them. Applying under current terms helps you avoid changes that add cost or steps.
Your ultimate success
- Relieved: your family has a plan B
- Confident: you travel and do business without visa fear
- Protected: your children inherit more options
- In control: you decided on your terms, with the facts

Citizenship by investment FAQs
Is citizenship by investment worth the cost?
The Caribbean programs start around US$200,000, plus fees. Set that against what one passport cannot do: it cannot give your family a home base in a crisis, reverse a visa refusal or protect every family member. Most families treat it as a plan B they hope never to use.
How much does citizenship by investment cost?
The Caribbean programs start around US$200,000 for a single applicant, and families pay more once government and due diligence fees are added. Turkey starts at US$400,000 in real estate, and Nauru costs less. Your consultation gives you an all-in figure for your family.
How long does it take to get a second passport?
Most programs take roughly 4 to 12 months from a complete application. Your own time is about 30 minutes to start and a few weeks to gather documents, and we handle the filing and follow-up. The biggest delay is an unclear source of funds, so we fix that first.
Do I have to move or spend time abroad?
No. Most programs do not ask you to live in the country, so you keep your job, business and schools. Several Caribbean programs are adding short visit requirements, and we confirm the current rule for your program.
Will my application be approved?
Approval depends on your record, your source of funds and your nationality, and nobody can guarantee it. We pre-screen every file before you pay, which removes most avoidable refusals. AIA has guided 25,000+ families since 1991.
Which program is right for me?
The right program depends on your goal: lowest cost, US business access, a real asset or family coverage. A 30-minute strategy consultation matches your goals, family and budget to one or two programs.
Which nationalities can apply for citizenship by investment?
Most nationalities can apply to most programs, but each country keeps its own list of restricted nationalities and runs its own checks. Your home country’s dual citizenship rules also matter. We confirm both before you pay anything.
Can my family be included in the application?
Yes. Every program lets you include a spouse and dependent children, and most allow dependent parents. Extra fees and age limits apply, so we confirm who qualifies before you file.
Are these programs legitimate and regulated?
Yes. National governments run them, accept applications only through licensed agents and run background checks on every applicant. The five Caribbean programs have also created a regional regulator, ECCIRA, to standardize due diligence. Be wary of anyone who guarantees approval.
Is the process confidential?
Applications are handled privately, but governments can share information under international rules. A second passport also does not change where you owe tax. We explain both points in your consultation.
