What does the BC PNP points calculator do?

The BC PNP points calculator adds up your points on the registration grid for Skills Immigration. It covers directly related work experience, education, language, the hourly wage of your BC job offer and where in BC you will work.

BC uses this score to rank registrations when it picks who to invite.

Do I need a minimum score?

BC does not use one fixed minimum for everyone. Each invitation round lists its own minimum score, so check the recent rounds on our PNP draw tracker.

What your score tells you

  • Ranking: BC invites the highest scores in each round
  • Gaps: the breakdown shows which factors cost you points
  • Fee: registration is free, and the application fee is $1,750
  • Express Entry: the EEBC option adds 600 CRS points

Five mistakes that skew your BC PNP score

A wrong input gives a wrong score. Watch for these.

Using your best language ability

BC scores the lowest of your four abilities, not your best one.

Counting extras in the wage

Only the hourly rate counts. Bonuses, tips and overtime do not.

Counting part-time at full value

Part-time experience counts for 50% of its length.

Claiming both regional extras

You get points for regional experience or regional study, not both. The most is 10.

Expecting one pass mark

BC sets a minimum score in each round. Check the draw tracker.
