What is a PNP draw?

A PNP draw is a round where a province or territory picks candidates from its pool and invites them to apply for a nomination. On the Express Entry route, IRCC also runs draws that invite candidates who already hold a nomination.

These are two different draws. This page tracks both.

Which draws does this page track?

We track the federal Express Entry PNP draws and the provincial draws that official sites publish. Saskatchewan has no scheduled draws, and PEI blocks automated reads, so we link to those pages.

Why draws matter

  • Scores: show what profile gets invited
  • Size: shows how active a province is
  • Priorities: show which jobs a province wants now

Which draws matter to you?

It depends on your route.

Person planning an Express Entry application at a home desk

Provincial draws matter if you

  • Have an EOI or profile in a provincial pool
  • Want to compare scores across provinces
  • Need to know which jobs a province invites

Federal PNP draws matter if you

  • Hold a provincial nomination in Express Entry
  • Want to know how fast nominees get invited
  • Plan your 60 days to apply

Not sure which draw fits your profile?

We compare your score and your job with the draws above and show you where to aim.

How to read a draw table

CRS and EOI scores

Federal draws use the CRS. Provinces use their own scores, so you cannot compare them.

Invitation, not nomination

An invitation lets you apply to the province. The nomination comes after the province reviews your application.

Cut-off dates

Some provinces list a cut-off date. Profiles submitted after it were not in that draw.

Targeted draws

Many draws pick a sector, such as health care or tech. Check the stream or pathway column.

No fixed schedule

Alberta and Saskatchewan draw as needed and do not follow a calendar.

Different update times

Provinces post at different speeds. We use the date on the official page.

How to use this tracker

Five actions turn the tables into a plan.

Find your province

Look at the province you target, or compare several.

Check the score

Compare your score with the lowest score invited.

Check your sector

Match your job to the stream or pathway in each draw.

Prepare your profile

Keep your EOI active and your language test valid.

Come back often

We update this page daily, so check it after each draw.

Want your score checked against the draws?

We review your profile and tell you which province gives you the best shot.

From a draw to a nomination, step by step

Six steps from your profile to your nomination.

1
First step

Register in a pool

Submit an EOI or profile to the province you target.

2
Draw

Get invited

The province invites top-ranked or targeted profiles in a draw.

3
Application

Apply in time

Submit a complete application before the deadline on your invitation.

4
Review

Province reviews

The province checks your documents and your ties to the province.

5
Nomination

Get nominated

On the Express Entry route, you gain 600 CRS points.

6
Federal

Apply for PR

You apply to IRCC, either after a federal PNP draw or on paper.

Five mistakes when reading draws

These mistakes lead to bad decisions.

Comparing scores across provinces

A score of 60 in one province is not a score of 60 in another.

Chasing one draw

Draws change fast. Look at the trend, not one round.

Ignoring the stream

A draw for health care does not help a tech worker.

Letting your EOI expire

An expired profile means you miss every draw.

Trusting old tables

Use the update date at the top of each table.

Want a second set of eyes?

We review your profile against the latest draws.

PNP draw FAQs

The latest Express Entry PNP draw was number 445 on 28 September 2026. It invited 733 candidates with a lowest CRS of 725 (IRCC, updated 3 October 2026).

IRCC has held 19 PNP draws in 2026 and invited 9,270 candidates through them. That counts only the Express Entry PNP draws.

A provincial draw invites you to apply to a province. A federal PNP draw invites someone who already holds a nomination to apply for PR with IRCC.

Alberta draws as needed and not on a fixed schedule. In September 2026 it held draws on several days across different streams and pathways.

Saskatchewan says there are no scheduled EOI draws right now. It does not post selection dates before they happen.

The official Ontario page lists rounds through 30 April 2026, and those streams have closed. The Ontario Workforce Priority EOI portal opened on 4 August 2026, and no round for it is published yet.

Nova Scotia publishes how many candidates it selected each month from its EOI pool, not a list of individual draws. We show those monthly numbers in the table above.

Match your job to a stream a province is inviting, raise your language scores and keep your profile active. See our provincial nominee guide to compare provinces.

We update this page daily from IRCC and the official provincial pages. The date above each table shows the last update.
