Choose the Proven Path: St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment for Your Family
You want a program that has already stood the test of time. St Kitts and Nevis opened in 1984, which makes it the world’s oldest citizenship by investment program, and its process is well understood. AIA prepares your file, checks your documents and guides it through government due diligence.
since 1991
You want a second passport you can trust, not an experiment
Newer programs can change fast, and it is hard to know which ones will last. You do not want to commit US$250,000 to a program that is still finding its feet.
St Kitts and Nevis has run since 1984. Its Sustainable Island State Contribution is US$250,000 for a main applicant or a family of up to four, and its rules are well tested.
How it feels to commit a large sum
You feel cautious when a large sum and your family’s future are involved. You worry about betting on a program that may not last.
What St Kitts and Nevis gives you
- The oldest program, so you rely on a track record, and you feel sure of your choice
- Clear pricing, so one contribution covers a main applicant and up to four family members
- Choice of routes, so you pick a contribution, a public benefit option or real estate
- A strong passport reputation, so your family travels with confidence to well over 140 destinations
- No prior residency, so you keep your job, business and schools where they are
- Dual citizenship, so you add a passport instead of swapping one
You do not have to work this out alone
We know caution is wise. You are comparing programs that all promise the same thing, and you want proof, not promises.

St Kitts and Nevis citizenship by investment requirements
The Unit checks you and your family in depth. Here is what it looks at.
Due diligence
Every adult applicant passes background checks, police certificates and screening against international databases. The Unit can call the main applicant, and dependants aged 16 and over, to an interview.
Source of funds
You document where your money came from with bank records, tax filings, business accounts or sale contracts, and show you can fund the investment and fees.
Health and identity
Each applicant needs certified identity documents and a medical exam. Fingerprints or other biometrics may also be required.
Family
The base contribution covers a main applicant and up to four family members. Further dependants pay an extra contribution that depends on their age.
Nationality rules
The program keeps its own list of restricted nationalities. We check your passport against it before you pay anything.

St Kitts and Nevis citizenship by investment options
Sustainable Island State Contribution
A non-refundable contribution of US$250,000 covers a main applicant or a family of up to four, so one payment keeps the process simple.

Invest at least US$325,000 in an approved development and hold it for at least seven years, so you keep an asset. A private home route exists at a higher threshold.
Public Benefit Option
A contribution that supports national infrastructure and development projects. Amounts differ, so we quote this option for your family in your consultation.

What it costs, and what waiting costs
St Kitts and Nevis costs more than the entry-level programs, and we show every line up front. Set it against a program with a shorter history and more risk of change.
Two possible futures
A year from now, you may still be comparing newer programs while the rules shift around you. Fees, visit requirements and due diligence standards across the Caribbean are changing.
Or your family holds a passport from the world’s oldest program, your file is clean and your plan B is in place. You feel relieved, and you chose proof over promises.
The cost of staying put
A regional regulator, ECCIRA, is standardizing the Caribbean programs, and fees and visit rules are shifting. Applying under current terms helps you avoid changes that add cost or steps.
Your ultimate success
- Relieved: your family has a plan B
- Confident: you travel and do business without visa fear
- Protected: your children inherit more options
- In control: you decided on your terms, with the facts

St Kitts and Nevis citizenship by investment FAQs
Is St Kitts and Nevis citizenship by investment worth the cost?
It costs more than the entry-level programs, from US$250,000 for a main applicant or a family of up to four. In return you get the oldest program and a well-tested process. Many families pay more for the lower risk of change.
How much does St Kitts and Nevis citizenship by investment cost?
The Sustainable Island State Contribution is US$250,000, and extra dependants add US$25,000 each under 18 and US$50,000 each aged 18 or over. Due diligence fees start at US$10,000 for the main applicant. Your consultation gives you an all-in figure.
How long does it take?
Most files take roughly 3 to 6 months from a complete application, depending on due diligence and any interview. Your own time is about 30 minutes to start and a few weeks to gather documents, and we handle the filing and follow-up.
Will my application be approved?
Approval depends on your record, source of funds and nationality, and nobody can guarantee it. We pre-screen every file before you pay, which removes most avoidable refusals. AIA has guided 25,000+ families since 1991.
Is there an interview?
The Unit can require an interview for main applicants and for dependants aged 16 and over. We prepare you for the questions and confirm whether yours is needed.
Do I need to live in St Kitts and Nevis first?
No. You do not need prior residency to obtain citizenship. The Caribbean programs are moving toward short in-person visit requirements, so we confirm the current rule before you file.
What is the real estate option?
You invest at least US$325,000 in an approved development and hold it for at least seven years before resale. Government fees apply after approval, and a private home route exists at a higher threshold.
Can my family be included?
Yes. The base contribution covers a main applicant and up to four family members, and further dependants pay an extra contribution based on age. We confirm who qualifies before you file.
Which nationalities can apply for St Kitts and Nevis citizenship?
Most nationalities can apply, but the program keeps its own list of restricted nationalities and runs its own checks. Your home country’s dual citizenship rules also matter. We confirm both before you pay anything.
Is the process confidential?
Applications are handled privately, but governments can share information under international rules. A second passport also does not change where you owe tax. We explain both points in your consultation.
