Indonesia Golden Visa: A 5 or 10 Year Stay for Investors

You want a long stay in Indonesia without a work sponsor. The Indonesia Golden Visa gives 5 or 10 years for an individual who places US$350,000 or US$700,000 in government bonds, listed shares or deposits. Founding a company needs more: US$2,500,000 or US$5,000,000.

We work with qualified local partners in each country, who file your application. We stay your point of contact.

Three amounts for three kinds of investor

Indonesia's Golden Visa has separate amounts for an individual, an individual who founds a company, and a corporate director. Guides often mix them. The right row depends on whether you set up a company.

What it looks like from the outside:

  • An individual amount of US$350,000 or US$700,000 that applies only if you do not found a company.
  • Higher amounts of US$2.5 million to US$50 million for company routes.
  • A rule change on investor stay permits that some pages mention.

How it feels:

  • You worry you quote the wrong row.
  • You fear investing before you know the rule you fall under.
  • You feel unsure whom to trust when guides show three amounts.

You do not have to match your case to the right row alone

We know how hard it is to pick the right amount when the page lists three. You want someone who has read the rule on the official page, tells you honestly when a route does not fit, and stays with you until the file is filed.

What we have done:

  • 35+ years in immigration and investment migration
  • 25,000+ families guided since 1991
  • 3rd Generation in the immigration industry
  • 2026 Canadian Choice Award winner

What we believe:

  • Honesty first: we tell you when a route does not fit, before you move money.
  • Checked rules: every figure on this page is read from an official source and dated.
  • Your plan, not a template: the right route depends on your goals, your family and your funds.

We believe you should know your row before you place a rupiah.

What you need

You need to place the amount for your row in Indonesian assets and apply online. The official release lists the assets that count.

What the immigration releases list:

  1. Your row: an individual who does not found a company, an individual who founds a company, or a corporate director or commissioner.
  2. For an individual who does not found a company: US$350,000 (5 years) or US$700,000 (10 years) in Indonesian government bonds, public company shares, or savings or deposits in Indonesia.
  3. An application through the eVisa system, with the immigration deposit payable online.

The legal basis is Permenkumham No. 22 of 2023 and Finance Ministry Regulation No. 82 of 2023.

The routes and rules

The release sets amounts by row. The amounts are those in the Directorate General of Immigration release of 25 July 2024.

What it costs, and what waiting costs

The investment is the larger cost, and the immigration deposit sits on top. Set both against the cost of a wrong start.

Your path in three steps

Three steps from your first answers to your visa.

  1. Step 1: Find your route. Use Find my program. You get a shortlist and a cost view for your family in a few minutes.
  2. Step 2: We do the heavy lifting. We qualify your case, work out which row applies, and check your funds and documents. When your case is qualified, we bring in the right local partner in Indonesia. You place the investment in the asset you chose.
  3. Step 3: Your visa in hand. Immigration decides through the eVisa system, and you keep the investment in place for the visa length.

Processing time depends on the authority and on how complete your file is.

What could change: the amounts, the assets that count and the stay permit rules. What we do about it: we re-read the official pages before each update and show the date.

After you have the visa

You keep the visa by keeping the investment in place. The release says holders do not need to process a limited stay permit at an immigration office.

  • Length: 5 or 10 years, by the amount you placed.
  • System: the visa runs through the eVisa site.
  • Changes: we re-read the official pages before each update and show the date.

Two possible futures

A year from now, you may still be comparing guides while the rules shift. You hold a brochure, a number from one adviser that contradicts another, and no date on any of it.

Or your family has a visa in Indonesia, your route is one that exists, and your file went in clean. You feel relieved, and you chose on facts you could check.

The cost of staying put: routes and rules change, and each change can add cost or close a door.

Your ultimate success:

  • Relieved: your family has a base in South East Asia
  • Confident: you chose a route that exists today
  • Protected: the people you worry about are covered
  • In control: you decided on your terms, with the facts
