Philippines SRRV: A Retiree Residence Visa Backed by a Deposit

You want to live in the Philippines long term, and you want to know the deposit. The Special Resident Retiree's Visa (SRRV) Classic needs a deposit of USD 15,000 to USD 50,000, set by your age and by whether you have a pension. You must be 40 or older.

We work with qualified local partners in each country, who file your application. We stay your point of contact.

Deposit amounts that differ from page to page

Old Philippine Retirement Authority documents show other deposits, and they are still online. The current table sets the deposit by age and by pension. Older pages show USD 10,000 and USD 20,000 for the Classic option.

What it looks like from the outside:

  • Older pages with USD 10,000 and USD 20,000 deposits.
  • A deposit that depends on your age and your pension.
  • Extra deposits for each dependant beyond two.

How it feels:

  • You worry you will quote the wrong deposit.
  • You fear paying more than you planned.
  • You feel unsure whom to trust when pages disagree.

You do not have to match old pages to new ones alone

We know how hard it is to plan a retirement abroad when the deposit changes from page to page. You want someone who has read the rule on the official page, tells you honestly when a route does not fit, and stays with you until the file is filed.

What we have done:

  • 35+ years in immigration and investment migration
  • 25,000+ families guided since 1991
  • 3rd Generation in the immigration industry
  • 2026 Canadian Choice Award winner

What we believe:

  • Honesty first: we tell you when a route does not fit, before you move money.
  • Checked rules: every figure on this page is read from an official source and dated.
  • Your plan, not a template: the right route depends on your goals, your family and your funds.

We believe a retirement plan should rest on the current table, not on an old page.

What you need

You need to be 40 or older, place the visa deposit and, in the pension case, show a lifetime pension. The page also sets who counts as a dependant.

What the Philippine Retirement Authority page lists:

  1. Age 40 or older, as a foreign national or a former Filipino.
  2. The visa deposit for your case: USD 15,000 (pensioner, 50 or older), USD 25,000 (pensioner, 40 to 49), USD 30,000 (non-pensioner, 50 or older) or USD 50,000 (non-pensioner, 40 to 49).
  3. For the pension case, proof of a lifetime pension of at least USD 800 a month for a single applicant, or USD 1,000 with dependants.
  4. Dependants: a legally married spouse and unmarried children under 21, legitimate or legally adopted.

The routes and rules

The Classic option sets the deposit by age and pension. The amounts are those on the Philippine Retirement Authority SRRV page.

Your caseAge 50 and overAge 40 to 49
PensionerUSD 15,000USD 25,000
Non-pensionerUSD 30,000USD 50,000

Who can be included. The deposit covers you and two dependants. Each dependant beyond two needs a further USD 15,000 deposit, except for former Filipinos. The same page lists an SRRV Courtesy option for special categories, which this page does not cover.

What it costs, and what waiting costs

The deposit is the larger cost, and the fees sit on top. Set both against the cost of a wrong start: a deposit paid on the wrong case.

FeeAmount
Processing fee, principalUSD 1,500
Processing fee, each joining dependantUSD 300
Annual fee, principal and two dependantsUSD 360
Annual fee, each dependant beyond twoUSD 100

Your path in three steps

Three steps from your first answers to your visa.

  1. Step 1: Find your route. Use Find my program. You get a shortlist and a cost view for your family in a few minutes.
  2. Step 2: We do the heavy lifting. We qualify your case and check your age, pension and documents. When your case is qualified, we bring in the right local partner, who files with the authority. You place the deposit as the authority instructs.
  3. Step 3: Your visa in hand. The authority decides, you pay the annual fee on time, and you keep your deposit in place.

Processing time depends on the authority and on how complete your file is.

Status: what changed and when

WhatStatus
Classic depositsUSD 15,000 to USD 50,000 by age and pension, on the current page
Older figuresOlder Authority documents show USD 10,000 and USD 20,000 and are out of date
Revision dateThe page shows no revision date

What could change: deposit amounts and fees. What we do about it: we re-read the official pages before each update and show the date.

After you have the visa

You keep the visa by paying the annual fee and keeping the deposit. The page says the deposit may be used for investment purposes the programme allows.

  • Annual fee: USD 360 for the principal and two dependants, and USD 100 more for each beyond two.
  • Dependants: a spouse and unmarried children under 21 at the time of application.
  • Deposit: a further USD 15,000 for each dependant beyond two.

Two possible futures

A year from now, you may still be comparing guides while the rules shift. You hold a brochure, a number from one adviser that contradicts another, and no date on any of it.

Or your family has a visa in Philippines, your route is one that exists, and your file went in clean. You feel relieved, and you chose on facts you could check.

The cost of staying put: routes and rules change, and each change can add cost or close a door.

Your ultimate success:

  • Relieved: your family has a base in South East Asia
  • Confident: you chose a route that exists today
  • Protected: the people you worry about are covered
  • In control: you decided on your terms, with the facts

Frequently asked questions

You place a visa deposit of USD 15,000 to USD 50,000 by age and pension case, pay a USD 1,500 processing fee, and then USD 360 a year. Each joining dependant adds USD 300 at filing, and each dependant beyond two needs a further USD 15,000 deposit.

Processing time depends on the authority and on how complete your file is. We walk you through each step and its timing before you commit funds.

No route promises approval, and we make no approval claims. What we control is the file: the right case, a documented deposit and pension proof. We tell you before you pay if your case does not fit.

The Special Resident Retiree’s Visa (SRRV) is a long-stay visa that the Philippine Retirement Authority grants to retirees. The Classic option is for people aged 40 or older who place a visa deposit.

Not always. A pension case has a lower deposit, and it needs proof of a lifetime pension of at least USD 800 a month (single) or USD 1,000 with dependants. Without a pension the deposit is USD 30,000 or USD 50,000.

Yes, from age 40, with a higher deposit: USD 25,000 with a pension or USD 50,000 without.

Yes. A legally married spouse and unmarried children under 21 can be included. The deposit covers two dependants, and each one beyond two needs a further USD 15,000.

The official source says the deposit may be used for allowed investments. Your local partner sets out the refund rules before you commit.

Older Authority documents show other deposits, and the current table is on the SRRV page. The status box shows the date we last read it.

No. We do not recommend or sell investments and we do not quote returns. We explain what the authority requires and bring in a local partner when your case is qualified.
