Find My U.S. Route: See Which U.S. Visa or Green Card Fits You
The AIA U.S. Route Finder is a short check that shows which U.S. routes are open to you, which open once you have something specific, and which do not fit. It covers the E-2, L-1, O-1, EB-1A, EB-1B, EB-2 national interest waiver, EB-5 and, for Canadians, the TN. Since 1991, AIA has guided 25,000+ clients, and independent U.S. attorneys handle the legal work and the filing.
since 1991
- Your result sorts routes into three groups: open to you, open once you have something specific, and does not fit.
- Every route comes with a reason, never just a yes or no.
- Some routes, like the national interest waiver, are decided on your documents, not on a form.
- The finder applies published rules to your answers. It is not legal advice and not a decision.
- An independent U.S. attorney reviews your full case before anything is filed.

What does the route finder check?
The route finder checks your answers against the published rules for the U.S. routes AIA works on, using what USCIS and the U.S. Department of State publish. It starts with your goal, your citizenship, where you live and the money you could invest, then asks only the questions that matter for your goal (USCIS, U.S. Department of State). At the end you see each route with the reason it landed where it did.
- Move a company or a team. The L-1A and L-1B.
- Buy a franchise or a business. The E-2, which depends on your citizenship.
- Invest for a green card. The EB-5 and its minimum investment.
- Work as a professional or researcher. The O-1, EB-1A, EB-1B and EB-2 national interest waiver.
- Canadian citizens. The TN, plus the routes above.
It is a screening tool, not a decision. Your documents settle what a form cannot.
How the U.S. Route Finder works
You take three steps: pick your goal, answer the route questions, and read your result. AIA helps you act on it, and an independent U.S. attorney handles the legal work and the filing.
Step 1: Pick your goal
Tell us what you want to do, your citizenship, where you live and the money you could invest.
Step 2: Answer the route questions
Answer only the questions that matter for your goal. Add your email to see your result.
Step 3: Read your routes
See which routes are open, which open once you have something specific, and why.
Questions about the route finder
Most people ask three things before they start: whether it is a decision, which routes it covers, and what happens to their answers.
Is the U.S. Route Finder a decision on my case?
No. The finder is a screening tool that shows which routes fit and what is missing, and it does not predict an outcome. It applies published rules from USCIS and the U.S. Department of State to your answers (USCIS, U.S. Department of State).
Which U.S. routes does the finder cover?
It covers the E-2, L-1A, L-1B, O-1A, O-1B, EB-1A, EB-1B, EB-2 national interest waiver and EB-5, plus the TN for Canadian citizens. Other routes, such as the H-1B and the EB-3, are not covered yet. If your goal does not match, you can tell us in your own words at the end.
What happens to my answers?
You add your name and email at the contact step so we can send you your result. We save your contact details and your first answers at that step, and the rest when you finish. Please do not enter passport numbers or case numbers.
What should I do after I see my routes?
Start with the items you control, such as gathering documents. Items that need only time, or another party, cannot be rushed. If the national interest waiver shows up, it is decided on your documents, and a Strategy Consultation covers how your case is built.
What happens if you wait, and what does success look like?
If you wait, you keep guessing which route fits, and a missing piece shows up after you have spent money. If you run the finder first, you see what is open, what is missing and what does not fit while it is cheap to change. The finder takes about five minutes.
