Ontario PNP for Skilled Workers: Your Guide to the Workforce Priority Stream

Last Updated: September 2026

Ontario used to run eight different skilled worker streams. In June 2026, all eight closed. Today, one stream remains: the Ontario Workforce Priority Stream. It works differently than before. You need a full-time, permanent Ontario job offer to qualify, and Ontario now ranks candidates with a new points based Expression of Interest system. This guide explains exactly how it works, who qualifies, and what to do next.

Quick Overview: PNP Benefits

A nomination from Ontario adds 600 points to your Express Entry score. That is more than double the gap between a typical profile and an invitation to apply. Here is what the stream offers:

  • 600 CRS Points Boost – A nomination adds 600 points to your Express Entry profile
  • One Stream, Three Pathways – TEER 0-3 workers, TEER 4-5 workers, and self-employed physicians can all apply
  • Express Entry Aligned – Works directly with Express Entry for TEER 0-3 and physicians (TEER 4-5 processes via the non-Express Entry PR portal)
  • Job Offer Required – You need a full-time, permanent Ontario job offer to qualify
  • Points-Based Selection – Ontario ranks candidates by an Expression of Interest score

●  How it works

Your Ontario PNP journey in three steps.

Ontario’s new points based system is not hard to understand. It just changed recently, and most guides online have not caught up. Our job is to make that invisible to you.

01

Secure an Ontario Job Offer

Get a full-time, permanent job offer from an Ontario employer in a TEER 0-3 or TEER 4-5 occupation. This is required before you can submit an Expression of Interest. No job offer means no application.

02

Submit Your Expression of Interest

Submit your Expression of Interest through the OINP portal with complete, accurate documentation. Ontario scores every EOI on factors like your occupation, wage, work experience, education, and language ability.

03

Accept Your Nomination and Move to Express Entry

If nominated under an Express Entry-aligned stream, your CRS score jumps by 600 points. TEER 4-5 nominees proceed directly via the federal non-Express Entry portal. You will receive an Invitation to Apply in a following Express Entry draw and have 60 days to submit your federal PR application.

The climb looks steep from the bottom. It always does. Every one of our 25,000 clients started exactly where you are standing now.

Step 1 starts here. $200. Applied to your retainer if you proceed.

Every week you wait to submit a strong Expression of Interest is a week a stronger applicant could take your spot. Ontario’s new system is points based, not first come, first served, and the province has not published how many invitations it plans to issue. Candidates who understand the scoring factors now are the ones most likely to receive an invitation before the rules change again.

●  The standard

Why Canada's most discerning clients trust Amir with the application that cannot fail

These aren’t company boasts. Each one is a direct answer to the question your IRCC application will one day face: is this file prepared well enough to survive first contact?

FEATURE

WHAT IT DOES FOR YOU

WHAT THAT MEANS FOR YOUR LIFE

One senior RCIC on every file, every time

Your application is personally reviewed and signed off by Amir Ismail, R412319 — never delegated to a junior or outsourced to a processor.

You’ll never wonder if a stranger cut a corner. The person who answers your questions is the person who filed your application.

35 years of approved applications

Three and a half decades navigating IRCC’s evolving criteria — including the AI-driven screening that rejects unprepared files before a human sees them.

You’re not funding someone’s learning curve. Every refusal pattern Amir has seen gets applied to your file before it’s submitted.

RCIC-licensed. $1,000,000 professional insurance.

Amir holds an active RCIC license and carries $1M in liability coverage, the standard required of Canadian professionals in regulated fields.

If IRCC ever questions the advice you acted on, you have a licensed professional on record. Unlicensed consultants offer none of this.

1,100+ verified five-star reviews

Over a thousand verified clients have documented what the process felt like — the communication, the outcome, the experience.

You don’t have to guess how it ends. The people who came before you already left the answer.

The $200 PNP Strategy, before you commit

Before AIA accepts your file, Amir assesses whether your pathway is viable and maps a written strategy — credited to your retainer if you proceed.

If we can’t help you, we’ll tell you that too. The decision to hire AIA stops being a leap of faith.

The benchmark isn’t other consultants. The benchmark is what your IRCC application needs to be approved.

●  Proof, not adjectives

25,000 families. One promise kept at a time.

These aren’t reviews. They’re the moment the outcome stopped being in doubt.

“I’d already had one refusal. I almost didn’t apply again.”

My first PR application was rejected without explanation. I spent nine months not knowing what went wrong, and another year convincing myself it wasn’t worth trying again. By the time I found Amir, I had almost given up on Canada entirely. He reviewed my previous file within the first session, showed me exactly what the refusal officer had flagged, then rebuilt the application from scratch. My PR was approved in seven months. My family landed in Toronto four months after that.

“I thought I could handle it myself. I could not.”

I’m an engineer, used to reading systems and following instructions. I drafted my own application, then found a forum thread describing a rejection for the exact thing I’d just submitted. A colleague referred me to Amir — he found three eligibility issues I hadn’t noticed, one that would have triggered an automatic rejection. He filed within six weeks. My Express Entry profile scored above the cutoff in the next draw.

“I went with the cheaper option first. It cost me two years.”

I paid another firm $800 for a “full-service application.” They submitted documentation that didn’t meet the proof-of-funds threshold. It was rejected in 90 days, and my appeal was denied — I restarted from zero. When I found Amir, his $200 audit told me more about my actual eligibility than the previous firm told me in six months. My second application was approved. No RFE. No delays.

“My wife and I lived on different continents for 14 months.”

I’d tried to navigate spousal sponsorship on my own and received a Request for Evidence I didn’t know how to answer. Amir handled the RFE personally and identified a supporting document I’d never thought to include. We were approved six weeks after his response was filed. My wife flew in on a Tuesday. I met her at arrivals. There is no price I would put on that Tuesday.

●  Still thinking about it?

Good. That means you take this seriously. So do we.

Here’s everything you need to know before booking.

Fees vary based on the complexity of your application and pathway. That’s why the process starts with a $200 Viability Audit, not a vague quote over email. In that 30-minute session, Amir assesses your file and gives you a written strategy with a transparent fee structure. The $200 is credited to your retainer if you proceed. The more important question isn’t what AIA costs. It’s what it costs if the application fails. A refusal resets your eligibility period, and there is no refund on a submitted file.

You can. IRCC does not legally require a consultant. But the evidentiary standard for your pathway is buried in policy manuals and officer guidance notes, not published in plain language. Most DIY refusals happen not from obvious errors, but from technically complete files with a single undisclosed ineligibility. Saving money on fees is a real option. Losing your eligibility window is a real consequence.

Amir holds an active RCIC license, registration R412319, issued by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC), a federal regulatory body. Status can be verified publicly at cicc.ca in under 60 seconds. Active licensing means $1,000,000 in professional liability insurance and disciplinary oversight if advice is negligent. Verify the license before you hire anyone, including us.

Processing timelines are set by IRCC, not AIA, and vary by pathway and volume. No consultant can guarantee a decision date. What AIA controls is the preparation phase: most delays are caused by incomplete documentation or eligibility issues that weren’t caught before submission. The Viability Audit gives you a realistic timeline based on your actual documentation and current IRCC processing data.

Complicated files are what AIA handles most frequently: CRS score challenges, prior refusals, dual-intent situations, competing federal and provincial timelines. A prior refusal narrows the margin for error, it doesn’t close your pathway. If Amir assesses your file and determines AIA can’t materially improve your outcome, he will tell you that in the audit.

Every AIA file is reviewed and signed off by Amir Ismail personally. This is a regulatory requirement, and firm policy beyond that. Our team supports administrative coordination and document collection. For strategy, eligibility determinations, and submission decisions, that responsibility is Amir’s alone.

Waiting is a valid choice, and also an immigration decision with consequences. Work permit holders who wait can miss draw cutoffs; study permit holders who delay can exhaust PGWP eligibility; sponsorship applicants who defer filing watch processing times extend by months. The $200 Viability Audit takes 30 minutes and tells you exactly where you stand.

The AIA Guarantee

The $200 PNP Strategy Consultation is the only decision you need to make today. Amir will review your situation, assess your eligibility, and give you a written strategy, including the risks, the timeline, and the full fee structure for proceeding.

If AIA is the right fit, the $200 is credited to your retainer. If we can’t help you, we’ll tell you that. You pay $200 for the truth. Not for a sales pitch.

We believe you shouldn’t have to hire a lawyer to understand what a consultant told you. Immigration advice should be clear, accountable, and given by the person whose license is on the line. That’s what RCIC licensing means. That’s what AIA delivers.

25,000 families. One decision that changed everything.

Yours could be next.

Imagine opening the IRCC portal in three months and seeing the word “Approved.” Imagine telling your family. Imagine knowing the application is done — correctly, completely, permanently — and that no one can take back what you’ve built.

Not a miracle. A process. One you can start with a 30-minute conversation.

30 minutes with Amir. A written strategy. Credited to your retainer if you proceed.

The clients who came before you felt what you’re feeling right now. Uncertain. Cautious. Wondering if this is the right move at the right time. Every one of them had a moment when they stopped wondering and decided. This can be yours.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - Ontario Workforce Priority Stream

What is the Ontario Workforce Priority Stream?

It is Ontario’s only current immigration stream for skilled workers under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). It replaced eight older streams that closed in June 2026, including Human Capital Priorities and French-Speaking Skilled Worker.

Yes, for most applicants. Every pathway except self-employed physicians requires a full-time, permanent job offer from an Ontario employer before you can submit an Expression of Interest.

An EOI is your application to enter Ontario’s candidate pool. Ontario scores every EOI using factors like occupation, wage, Canadian work experience, education, language ability, and employer characteristics, then invites the highest ranked candidates.

The three pathways in Ontario Workforce Priority stream include: TEER 0-3 for skilled workers, TEER 4-5 for support workers, and a separate pathway for self-employed physicians licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

You need a minimum of CLB 5 to 6 for the TEER 0-3 pathway, and a minimum of CLB 4 for the TEER 4-5 pathway.

OINP has not yet published a processing time for this stream. The Expression of Interest portal only opened on August 4, 2026.

A nomination adds 600 points to your Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System score, confirmed by IRCC.

Ontario permanently closed eight PNP streams, including Human Capital Priorities, in June 2026 and replaced them with the unified Workforce Priority Stream. The closed streams include Human Capital Priorities, French-Speaking Skilled Worker, and both Master’s and PhD Graduate streams. None of them accept new applications anymore.

Yes, as long as you have a qualifying Ontario job offer. The stream does not require you to already be living in Canada.

No. Meeting the minimum requirements only lets you enter the EOI pool. Ontario invites candidates by score, starting with the highest ranked, so a stronger EOI improves your chances but nothing is guaranteed.
