BC PNP Entrepreneur Draw, September 22, 2026: The Cut-off Rises to 119

British Columbia held its latest entrepreneur draw on September 22, 2026. The province invited 10 candidates through the Base stream and fewer than 5 through the Regional stream. The minimum score for both streams was 119.

That is three points higher than the August 25 draw, which closed at 116. It is also the highest Base cut-off since February. If your registration sits below 119, you need a plan to close the gap.

B.C. has held 10 entrepreneur draws so far in 2026 and invited 109 Base candidates, or about 11 per draw. Base cut-offs have ranged from 115 to 121 this year.

Scores have moved up and down all year. Nobody can predict the next cut-off, so aim above the last one, not at it.

Since June, draws have come every 28 days: June 2, June 30, July 28, August 25 and September 22. B.C. has not announced the date of the next draw.

How is your BC PNP entrepreneur score calculated?

B.C. scores registrations on two groups of factors. Human capital factors include your work experience, education and language ability. Economic factors include how commercially viable your business proposal is and what it would bring to the province.

BC PNP staff score your business concept separately, usually within six weeks of registration. Your experience and education are already fixed. The business concept is the part you control most before you register.

Check the business type too. B.C. will not accept certain businesses, including home-based businesses, bed and breakfasts, coin-operated laundries and automated car washes. Some franchise concepts fall into these categories.

What happens after you get an invitation from BC Entrepreneur Program?

An invitation starts the process. It does not finish it.

A BC PNP-authorized accounting firm verifies your net worth and source of funds before you submit anything.
You have up to four months from the invitation date to submit a complete application.
If B.C. approves you, you sign a Performance Agreement and receive a Letter of Support for your work permit.
You move to B.C. and have up to 20 months to run the business and meet the terms of your Agreement.
You file a final report 18 to 20 months after arrival. If you met the terms, B.C. nominates you, and you apply to IRCC for permanent residence.

Your score gets you invited. What you actually build in B.C. gets you nominated.

What to do before the next BC PNP Entrepreneur draw

Start with an honest estimate of your score. Then work on the weak points: tighten your business concept and confirm your investment plan meets your stream minimum.

Register only when your file is ready. A registration stays in the pool for up to six months. If your score is too low for that whole period, it expires without an invitation.
