Calculate your CRS score
Answer the questions, then enter your details to see your score and breakdown. Last updated: October 2026. This is an estimate. IRCC decides your official score.
What does the CRS calculator do?
The CRS calculator adds up your Express Entry points using IRCC’s published grid. It scores age, education, language, Canadian work experience, spouse factors, skill transferability and additional points.
Your result is an estimate. IRCC works out your official score from your Express Entry profile (IRCC, 2026).
Do job offers add CRS points?
No. Job offer points ended on 25 March 2025, including the 50 and 200 points that applied before. A job offer can still matter for eligibility, such as for the Federal Skilled Trades Program.

How the points add up
Age
Up to 110 points without a spouse and 100 with one. The peak is ages 20 to 29. Points fall each year after 30 and reach 0 at 45.
Education
Up to 150 points without a spouse and 140 with one. A doctoral degree scores highest, then a master’s or professional degree.
Language
Up to 136 points for your first official language and 24 for your second. Each of the four abilities scores on its own, so CLB 9 or higher pays off.
Canadian work experience
Up to 80 points without a spouse and 70 with one, for 5 or more years of skilled work in Canada.
Spouse factors
Up to 40 points for your spouse’s education, language results and Canadian work experience.
Skill transferability
Up to 100 points when your education, language and work experience combine well. Education and foreign work each cap at 50.
Where to go next
Use your score to pick your next move.

ECA report
An Educational Credential Assessment for foreign education, less than 5 years old.
Reference letters
Letters that show your dates, duties, hours per week, salary and employer contact details.

A wrong input gives a wrong score. Watch for these.

Enter CLB levels, not band scores. Convert your results first.
Counting work that does not qualify
Only skilled work in TEER 0 to 3 counts, and it must match your NOC.
Skipping the ECA
Foreign education only earns points once an ECA confirms it.
Counting a job offer
Job offers have added no points since 25 March 2025.
Guessing your French level
French bonus points need NCLC 7 in all four abilities on an approved test.

CRS Calculator FAQs
What is the CRS?
The Comprehensive Ranking System is the points system IRCC uses to rank Express Entry profiles out of 1,200. The highest-ranking candidates in each round get an invitation to apply for permanent residence.
How many points can I get?
Up to 1,200. Core human capital gives up to 500 points, or 460 with a spouse. Spouse factors give up to 40, skill transferability up to 100 and additional points up to 600.
Do job offers add CRS points?
No. IRCC removed job offer points on 25 March 2025, including the 50 and 200 points that applied before. A job offer can still matter for program eligibility.
How does a provincial nomination affect my score?
A provincial or territorial nomination adds 600 points. IRCC invites nominated candidates through general and Provincial Nominee Program rounds.
Does my spouse affect my score?
Yes. If your spouse comes with you, your core points use the with-spouse columns. Their education, language results and Canadian work experience add up to 40 more points.
What is the CRS tie-breaking rule?
If more than one candidate has the lowest score in a round, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their profiles (IRCC).
How accurate is this calculator?
It follows IRCC’s grid, updated 22 June 2026, including the with-spouse columns, the skill transferability caps and the French bonus. It is still an estimate. IRCC works out your official score.
Which CLB level should I aim for?
CLB 9 in all four abilities is a strong target. It raises your language points and opens the higher skill transferability tier. Read how to improve your CRS score for the full list.
Do French results add points?
Yes. NCLC 7 or higher in all four French abilities adds 25 points, or 50 points if your English is CLB 5 or higher in all four abilities. Second-language points count as well.
What is a good CRS score?
It changes with every round, so check the latest draws. Category-based rounds often invite lower scores than all-program rounds.
