New Brunswick PNP draws issued 613 invitations and selections between September 11 and October 2, 2026, across four rounds, according to the province’s invitation and selection rounds page. The largest share, 251, went to French-speaking candidates under the Strategic Initiative. Every round targeted people with a link to New Brunswick, such as a job, a degree or work experience there.
What did the latest New Brunswick PNP draws include?

Who did the New Brunswick PNP draws favour?
French speakers did best, since the Strategic Initiative round of 251 used two pathways, Francophone Workers in New Brunswick and New Brunswick Francophone Priorities. That one round was about 41% of the 613 total (251 divided by 613). No other stream came close in a single day.
The NB Skilled Worker round went to two pathways: New Brunswick Graduates and New Brunswick Experience. In plain terms, it favoured people who studied or already work in the province. It made up about 32% of the total (197 divided by 613).
The Express Entry round used one pathway, Employment in New Brunswick. That means candidates who already had work in the province. It was about 17% of the total (102 divided by 613).
Which jobs could get an invitation?
Most rounds listed the same seven job groups. These were construction, education and social and community services, manufacturing, other trades, professional and IT, sales and services, and transportation. The NB Skilled Worker round listed six of them and left out transportation, according to the provincial table.
So a job title alone did not decide much. What mattered more was the pathway: speaking French, holding a New Brunswick credential, or having a New Brunswick job. If you have none of those links, these rounds were not built for you.
What does an NB Express Entry invitation mean for your CRS score?
An invitation from New Brunswick is the first step, not the nomination, and you still apply to the province. If you are nominated through the NB Express Entry stream, IRCC adds 600 points to your Comprehensive Ranking System score. In the Express Entry draw for provincial nominees on September 28, 2026, the CRS cut-off was 725, per IRCC.
The 102 people invited on September 17 now need to file a full provincial application. Check the deadline in your invitation letter. Our PNP draws tracker shows how New Brunswick compares with other provinces.
What should you do if you were not invited?
First, check whether your profile fits any pathway the province is using. If it does not, more waiting will not help. The Expression of Interest system only invites people whose profiles match what the province asks for in each round.
Second, keep your profile current, because a new job offer, a finished program or a better language test can change which pathway you fit. Third, look at the wider map. Our review of PNP draw cut-offs in 2026 and the PEI PNP draws for 2026 show where other Atlantic provinces are inviting.
If you are nominated, remember the province expects you to live there. Our guide on intent to reside after a PNP nomination explains what that means in practice.
